In August today the Maine State Senate honored The Maine Heritage Policy Center with a legislative sentiment for the creation of their website MaineOpenGov.org.
The sentiment was put in by Senator Deborah Plowman (R) - Hampden, and signed by Senate President Elizabeth Mitchell, who just a month ago co-sponsored a bill that would have censored public information and effectively shut down MaineOpenGov.org. The bill was later defeated unanimously by the Judiciary committee.
